How We Achieve Gender Diversity at Exalogic Consulting?

Diversity and inclusion have become one of the most talked out topics in the corporate spheres, and it has become imperative to succeed in it. It has become essential to redefine the entire idea of diversity in the workplace, and for a good reason.

Let us first talk about what gender diversity and inclusion in the workplace mean: Gender diversity refers to a workplace with an equal number of men and women, meaning that men and women are hired at the same rate, paid equally, and given a similar opportunity for advancement.

Gender equality is critical. Fair representation of women in the workplace can positively impact the entire company. Most businesses strive toward achieving gender diversity, and while reputation is vital, gender diversity provides several other crucial and significant benefits for a company's bottom line. Companies that are gender diverse outperform their competitors and generate more profit!

Gender balance in the workplace has been shown in numerous studies to provide innumerable benefits for both people and businesses: enhanced employee loyalty, a more balanced environment, and higher creativity and productivity are just a few examples. But, more importantly, how do we encourage and attain gender balance and sustain and maintain it? Reports from organizations debate the impact of quotas, demonstrating that it isn't just a numbers game. Everything indicates that it is a cultural issue.

Addressing workplace culture allows us to recognize gender balance challenges. The recommended approach is to combine cultural values to create the types of workplaces that both women and men wish to work in. A Healthy and good workplace culture must include a solid commitment to welfare, diversity, and inclusion – with positive role modeling also playing an essential role in women's career decisions.

All of this and more is provided for the benefit of all our female employees. Being a company at the forefront of digital transformation, we also believe in making the world a better place than we found it. Here are some things we believe in to cater to a more gender-diverse and inclusive work environment.

  • Observation equals action: Like many organizations in the tech industry, the number of female candidates for tech jobs drops to nearly nothing as you move up, though this varies by role. According to data and statistics, women hold barely 5% of leadership positions in technology.

     We encourage more women to enter the workforce in IT professions and achieve more gender balance in the industry, female applicants must be able to envision themselves working at the company in the types of roles and at the levels they desire.

    Our top management team includes multiple women, demonstrating to others interested in a tech profession that there is room for them here. Seeing is believing, which is especially important in an industry widely seen as "man dominated."
     
  • Positive work-life balance: We think both women and men should be able to take charge of their health and well-being, and we are constantly developing resources to promote mental and physical well-being, financial and health management, personal development, and engaging ways to interact with coworkers.

    We foster a work atmosphere that encourages personal development while combating prejudices and outdated thinking. In addition to the activities mentioned above, our HR team monitors the salary review process and rewards across the organization to ensure that everyone performing at equal levels, regardless of gender, is paid equitably.

    We encourage positive peer-to-peer engagement, establishing safe and inclusive spaces for excellent ideas and conversations, and emphasizing the development of a growth mindset and resilience in our teams. In the end, any positive work culture strives to bring out the best in its employees and help them reach their full potential at work, and we are no exception.

 

People need spaces where they are equally welcomed, rewarded, and cared for -  environments in which they can be certain that they will manage their personal and professional goals while remaining true to themselves at work.
